Naduvil-Chengalai
is rural country. Naduvil is an inland village selected in 1995 by
the Gospel workers in Malabar for new work. Trinity Lutheran Church
in Rochester, MN decided to sponsor and support this work through the MMS.
This generous support helped to produce a remarkable development.
A solid mission centre has emerged on a 1.25 acre property, including a
small church with a workers' living quarters attached, and a service building
that has space for a flourishing nursery school and a tailoring institute.
The work program is led by Rev. and Mrs. S. S. Oliver, the original evangelist
at Naduvil. With the small, but dedicated congregation, he is engaging
in an intensive evangelism program.
